The newly renovated building for the Supreme Court of Oklahoma has commissioned a painting through the Historical Society. Jean has worked researching the history of the Indian Lighthorse police, the tribal law enforcement for early Oklahoma. These mounted units patrolled the territory and were famed for their skills and integrity. This large painting will hang at one end of the entry foyer in the 1920’s building across from the State Capitol of Oklahoma.“Study for Lighthorse” is a study of the subject leading to the final painting “Lighthorsemen” which will be installed in June of 2011.
